Things founders ask us.

You pay a fixed monthly rate for each engineer on your team. There's no upfront placement fee. The subscription covers the engineer's compensation plus our management and vetting fee. You can cancel with 30 days notice at any time during the contract period.
After 3-6 months (depending on your agreement), you can convert the engineer to a direct contractor relationship. The conversion fee is pre-agreed before the engagement starts, so there are no surprises. Once converted, the engineer works directly for you with no ongoing fees to Awana.
If the engineer isn't the right fit, you can end the contract with 30 days notice. We'll restart the search and provide a replacement at no additional cost within 90 days. We also do a post-mortem to understand what went wrong and make sure the next match is better.
Traditional recruiting charges 15-25% of the annual salary upfront. If the hire doesn't work out, you've lost that fee. Contract-to-hire removes that risk entirely. You pay monthly, evaluate the engineer on real work, and only commit when you're confident. It's hiring with a built-in safety net.
Yes. At any point during the contract-to-hire period, you can upgrade to our COR (Contractor of Record) model. This adds full payroll management, compliance handling, benefits administration, and HR support. It's ideal if you want to scale your LatAm team without setting up a local entity.
All roles available through our direct-hire service are also available as contract-to-hire: backend engineers, full-stack developers, mobile engineers, DevOps/SRE, product managers, UX designers, ML engineers, and operations leads. If the role exists in our network, we can structure it as C2H.
